A Florida man has filed a wrongful death lawsuit claiming $10 million in damages against a semi-truck driver and others involving a wreck that killed his wife and three stepchildren. Dexter Culclager’s family was traveling in an SUV when it broke down on a Jacksonville bridge last March. A Peterbilt truck slammed into the stalled SUV and Yakel Culclager and her three children, ages 6 to18, were killed in the crash. Culclager is suing the truck driver and a number of trucking companies involved. General Motors and a service shop that had checked the family’s SUV were also named as Defendants in the suit. The service check allegedly occurred several weeks before the SUV’s driveshaft broke, causing the vehicle to be disabled before the crash.
