Wrong drugs given to elderly patients

The results of a nationwide study published in the Journal of Hospital Medicine revealed that nearly half (49%) of almost 500,000 hospital patients 65 and older have been prescribed one or more drugs known to be unsafe for older patients. That is a scary thought and these results should have made care professionals and regulators aware of the existence of a most serious problem.
