It is very clear that Merck and Co. doesn’t mind stretching the truth and in some instances actually outright lying about Vioxx. The company has misled the FDA, the medical community, and the public about Vioxx for years. Actually, it really didn’t come as a big surprise when we learned Merck had even misled the New England Journal of Medicine about clinical trials. It is most unfortunate that a giant drug company could play fast and loose with the truth and get away with it. It is even more disturbing that Merck will attempt to destroy any person who stands up to the company in the Vioxx fight. Our firm plans to continue with our representation of Vioxx victims. We will never quit and will do our very best to eventually bring justice to our clients. We never thought the Merck battles would be easy because we knew how powerful and influential Merck is. But, I must admit that I never released how truly influential the giant drug company is and how far that influence reaches.
