LawCall

We are in our sixth month of hosting the widely popular LawCall, which is broadcast live at 11:00 p.m. each Sunday night on WSFA. Gibson Vance hosts the show each week, along with a guest lawyer from central or south Alabama. Kendall Dunson, from the firm, hosts the show in Gibson’s absence. Each week a different topic is discussed and phone lines are opened to take questions from callers in the WSFA viewing area.

Some of the past topics have been, “Hurt on the Job,” “Divorce and Child Custody” and “Elder Abuse.” The show also gives the viewers a chance to meet persons who hold a position in the judicial system, such as judges or district attorneys. Recently Morris Dees, who along with Joe Levin founded the Southern Poverty Law Center, was a guest of the show. Viewers were given the opportunity to call and ask Morris, who is a “national treasure,” questions. This was one of the most popular shows thus far and we really appreciate Morris’ participation.
