Prepackaged containers of nut, seed and raisin mix at Publix are part of a new recall for possible Listeria contamination. Publix said it has received notification from sunflower seed supplier Flagstone Foods that the products may be adulterated with Listeria. The mix was sold in Alabama, Tennessee, Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina and Florida. Maria Brous, Publix media and community relations director, said there have been no reported illnesses from customers who have purchased the food. “As part of our commitment to food safety, potentially impacted product has been removed from all store shelves,” she said in a statement. A full refund is available to customers who have one of the products, which have a UPC of 000-41415-08886, 002-25143-00000 and 004-00002-10396. To ask questions, call 800-242-1227 or visit www.publix.com. Customers can also contact the Food and Drug Administration at 888-SAFEFOOD.
