Suzuki Motor Corp. has recalled 184,244 Forenza and Reno compact cars manufactured by General Motors Co. in South Korea because of a defect that can cause the running lights to overheat and cause a fire. The Japanese automaker is recalling Forenza vehicles from model years 2004 to 2008 and Reno vehicles from 2005 to 2008 because heat may be generated in the headlamp switch or daytime running light module, which could melt the switch or module, according to documents filed with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA).
