Bill Robertson, a lawyer in the Section, is currently handling cases involving mortgage fraud. He is especially interested in cases involving fraud in the origination and servicing of mortgages. This is a most interesting and somewhat complicated area of law. The banks and mortgage service companies involved did some pretty dumb and illegal things that resulted in tremendous harm to homeowners. Bill represents many consumers against large mortgage companies which attempt to defraud their borrowers in a number of different ways.
