Topson Downs of California, of Culver City, Calif., has recalled about 2,100 women’s dresses. The dresses fail to meet the federal flammability standard for wearing apparel, posing a fire hazard to consumers. The dress is a Bar III brand dress, and is fully lined with a sheer rayon outer layer. There is a white label with “Bar III” written in black on the inside back of the dress. The dress has a checkered, multi-colored, and black pattern called “Mint Chili Combo” and was sold in five adult sizes, ranging from extra small to extra large. The dresses were sold exclusively at Impulse Department of Macy’s stores nationwide and on macys.com from March 2011 through May 2011 for about $60. Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled dresses and return them to any Macy’s for a full refund. For additional information, contact Macy’s toll-free at (888) 257-5949 or visit the Macy’s website at macys.com or contact Topson Downs at (800) 241-2975 between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. PT or via email at firstname.lastname@example.org. CPSC is still interested in receiving incident or injury reports that are either directly related to this product recall or involve a different hazard with the same product.
