Folks in our firm have been involved in a number of worthwhile projects recently. For example, our employees started an exciting renovation project for the youth and families served by Common Ground Montgomery last month. The project will create Youth Entrepreneurship and Housing Redevelopment Centers that will provide more opportunities for the community. Common Ground works to create a “safe haven” of love and grace, along with structure and discipline, for the children in West Montgomery when they are most vulnerable to the destructive influences of the streets. They also concentrate on investing in urban youth by focusing on holistic development.
WSFA and Faith Radio are our media partners for this special project. Volunteers from the Montgomery Advertiser, as well as from the community, are donating “sweat equity” hours to help in the construction and renovation activities. Employees from our firm volunteered their time to help with outdoor landscaping for this project. The site is located at 1516 Mobile Road in Montgomery. Helen Taylor is coordinating this project for the firm and she has done a very good job. It’s a good opportunity for us to help the folks at Common Ground who in turn help others.
