About 21,000 children’s Timberland Classic Scuffproof boots, made in Thailand and imported by The Timberland Co., of Stratham, N.H have been recalled. The logo stamped on the boot’s insoles has high levels of lead, which is toxic if young children ingest it. No incidents or injuries have been reported. The boots were sold at shoe stores and specialty retailers nationwide from June through October. Details: by phone at 800-445-5545; on the Web at http://www.timberland.com or http://www.cpsc.gov.
